Sheppey Crossing: Bridge closed due to broken down car

The Sheppey crossing closed this afternoon after a car broke down on the island-bound carriageway.

Due to low visibility the decision was made to close the route just after 1pm while the vehicle was recovered.

KentOnline understands the bridge has now reopened.
