Man charged after police chase crash

A MAN has been charged with driving offences after a car chase through part of the county in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 27-year-old is accused of aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and failing to stop when requested.

Three police cars were involved in a pursuit with a red Ford Fiesta between Margate and Birchington before the car lost control and hit a wall.

He is due to appear in court later today.

A 28-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident, but he has been released without charge.
