Mark McCammon returned to training this week after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The big striker, who has been plagued by injuries in his time with Gillingham, had an intensive workout at Priestfield before Saturday’s match against Lincoln.

McCammon (pictured) took part in the pre-match warm-up and should be available for selection ahead of Gillingham’s League 2 trip to Morecambe this weekend.

"He will be training (on) Monday," said boss Andy Hessenthaler.

"He has been (doing) a bit (with) Nicky (Southall) in the gym and he was nearly crying in pain! He will be ready for getting on that training pitch on Monday."

Striker Cody McDonald and captain Barry Fuller could also be returning to training this week to give Hessenthaler further options, while Jack Payne may be back by the end of the week.

That would leave Dennis Oli, Garry Richards, Stanley Aborah, Danny Jackman, Dean Rance and Simon King on the injury list.

What difference will the return of Mark McCammon make to the Gillingham attack? Have your say below.
