£150million reshuffle given green light

THE way Bexley council works could be transformed as a new £150 million programme got the green light last night.

The Bexley First programme could lead to 750 new council homes and 385 permanent jobs.

It will also see regeneration schemes in communities around the borough and could produce savings of £50 million for the council.

Further budget arrangements have to be approved by the Full Council on November 7.
